As September is fast approaching, the buzz about Traveling Cake Plate is steadily increasing. The end of the summer will certainly prove to be the beginning of a romantic season of autumn weddings and a plethora of special occasion cakes for back-to-school events as well as college homecomings. If we already have your order on the books, we can’t wait to serve you. And if you are considering our services, don’t hesitate any longer. Save your date now and we will work with you to finalize the details as time grows closer to your event. The important thing is getting on the books!

Traveling Cake Plate is ecstatic about two major public appearances this month. First, we will be a participating vendor at the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show on September 12, 2010. This is monumental because it is our premiere major bridal event! Secondly, Traveling Cake Plate will host its second quarterly Bridal Showcase and Public Tasting on Sunday September 26, 2010. We personally invite all brides interested in seeing our work up close and personal to attend these events and taste samples. Don’t forget, we have FREE tickets so call immediately or send an email and I will get them in the mail to you right away.

Finally, to make these events more enticing, when you visit Traveling Cake Plate with a picture of your desired wedding cake and the number of guests you plan to serve, I will give you a price quote before you leave the event! Also, if you complete the contract process by October 1, 2010, you will receive 2 dozen elegant color-coordinated hand-designed candy apples or 3 dozen hand-dipped chocolate covered strawberries to share amongst the bridal party on your special day at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! (Valued at $60.00)

I look forward to seeing you, meeting you and speaking with you but most of all it will be my pleasure to serve you!

Wedding Officiants: Remember Their Importance

Flowers, music, planners, catering, (and even cake) are all great things to have on your wedding day. However, the importance of these items rank last on the list when we begin to talk about the legalities and longevity of your marriage.

Let's put things into perspective, legally, none of the above mentioned items are needed to marry a couple. However, an ordained minister or legally appointed officiant is among the short list of "must-haves " when it comes to becoming someones' real-life husband or wife.

Most pastor's or wedding officiants tend to spend valuable time in pre-marital counsel with couples before the wedding. The information and advice you receive during this private time is bound to positively shape your life and relationship beyond the scope of the aforementioned items.

Yes, many wedding officiants and pastor's are good natured people who put the needs of others above their own, just remember that their time and professional experience should be respected as much as your other wedding vendors.

While many will not charge you a dime for officiating your ceremony, a generous donation in the amount of 10% of the cost of your reception venue or a $250 minimum should be provided. While it may seem like a lot, just remember that anyone may kiss the bride, but only the officiant can pronounce her a wife.

Until next time check out the "Budget Bride Solutions Menu".

About This Company

"Traveling Cake Plate introduces a new concept to “comfort food”.... Never leave the comfort of your home! Each of our scrumptious cakes is uniquely created, decorated and DELIVERED to your doorstep, business or event venue just in time for the party!" (36 hour advance notice needed. By appointment only)
Hi! My name is Toni P. and I am the owner of Traveling Cake Plate located in Durham, NC. My company is an all-ocassion custom cake shop that specializes in fun festive cakes for all ocassions and beautifully designed wedding cakes. Here's a little info...
And it was!
Shortly after my daughter was born, I prayed that God would give me a skill that I could do with my hands to help support my family outside of my day job. Not thinking much about about that conversation with the Lord, I stumbled across a program about a successful cookie decorating business and decided I would I try my hand at cake decorating! I took a few courses and fell in love.
When I first began, I was volunteering to make free cakes for my friends and family and was way too cheap to spend money on cake boxes and cake boards. So I took the one $5.00 cake plate I owned from one house to the other with a newly decorated cake. That one cake plate stayed in the car with me so much, that I began joking about my, "Traveling Cake Plate". Shortly thereafter, the business business concept that you know today was established.
Since conception, I have had the opportunity to serve hundreds of clients including quite a few bubbling brides, Durham and Raleigh's most prestigious businesses as well as some great individuals who have sent friendly referrals.
Thanks for allowing me to introduce myself and Traveling Cake Plate. I hope you will continue to follow along with me as the company grows!
Until next time....Take a look at our mother's day and graduation specials (http://www.travelingcakeplate.com/seasonal-specials.php)
